Family Guy: “The Simpsons Guy”

Family Guy is an animated comedy television series about dysfunctional family in the fictional town of Quahog, Rhode Island. The show usually centers on the adventures of Peter Griffin, the protagonist. Peter is an unintelligent bumbling Irish American Catholic who can be sometime cantankerous. His incredibly short attention span and erratic and frequently inappropriate behavior makes it conceivable that Peter suffers from ADHD. He has a habit of proving his masculinity to his wife, Lois. He finds it frustrating that he is wrong while Lois is right about any issues which makes Peter very competitive. He is incredibly jealous of other attractions Lois has in her life, an attitude that tends to get out of hand in most cases. Peter’s best friends are Glenn Quagmire, a sex-crazed, perverted neighbor, Joe Swanson, a macho paraplegic police office, Brian, his dog and Cleveland, the token black guy in the neighborhood. Lois is a generally stay-at-home mother and has an occupation of piano teachers. She is a member of the wealthy Pewterschmidt family. They have 3 children: teenage daughter Meg, who is frequently insisted by Peter’s jokes due to her lack of popularity and homeliness; teenage son Chris, who is unintelligent and obese; and his son Stewie, a diabolical toddler who is has adult mannerisms and stereotypical archvillian phrases. Brian, the family dog, who is much anthropomorphized and engages in human conversation even though he is still considered a pet. When Peter gets annoyed by an unfunny comic strip on the newspaper, he decides to draw his own. His first strip was a hit but when he started offending women with his strip, the Internet raged against him. Faced with an angry mob, the family decided to leave town until things calm down. After driving for a night, the family stops at a gas station but while inside their car is stolen, leaving them stranded in Springfield. Peter attempts to find the police station but stops at the Kwik-E-Mart for a donuts. Homer Simpson offers to buy them donuts since they have no money. Homer guides the family to the police station. Peter tries to report the theft, but is turned away since he didn’t contribute to the police ball. The Simpson allowed Peter and his family to stay with them until they find their car. Bart impressed Stewie and Brian with his slingshot and prank calls. Lisa tries to build up Meg’s self-esteem which Peter quickly shut downs. Chris and Maggie bonded but Brian was stuck with Santa’s Little Helper. Peter and Homer quickly bonded as they searched for Peter’s car. Chris and Brian take Santa’s Little Helper for a walk and try to teach some independence but he runs off when freed. Still attempting to find something Meg is good at, Lisa suggest Meg tries her saxophone. Meg was success right off the bat, although Lisa down plays her talent. Bart teaches Stewie how to skateboard. Nelson interrupted their lesson and pounded Bart. Stewie plots revenge and shoots Nelson with a knockout dart. Peter and Homer try to deploy a giant magnet and then realize it requires a giant outlet. Hans Moleman runs them over having accidentally taken the wrong car when looking for his pants. The guys celebrate by going to Moe's where Peter tries to introduce Homer to Pawtucket Patriot and they find a label stuck over Duff beer as legal action is threatened. In court, Peter defends the brewery to save Quahog. The case cause animosity between the towns. With Fred Flintstone as judge, he declared Peter guilty. The family prepares to head home to Quahog. Meg shares that she cut Lisa’s name into her arm to always remember her by. Bart and Stewie do their goodbyes where Stewie points out that he took revenge on all of Bart's enemies. Bart is freaked out and bids him goodbye. Homer felt sad for the Griffins and tries to explain his actions.
