Short Story (You’re my life)

“Challenges make life interesting; however overcoming them is what makes life meaning”

- Mark Twain

CUT THE SCHOOL PART SHE SAID.

BE SPECIFIC, How the Searches Pulled out one of the survivors. Describe the weather/surrounding. What are their experiences?

(ENDING) BRINGING UP THE CHILD ON HIS OWN.

“Coraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!” martin shouted

“Forget about me, save Michael! Save michael!” Cora yelled

There were only limited places on the life boat and in the rush and panic of the crowd they got separated. Martin and his son looked for her but they were not able to find her. Against their will, he and his son got on the life boat while they hoped that his wife would be able to get on another boat safely.

“Daddy where’s mummy?” said the son

“Michael, don’t worry everything’s going to be fine I’m sure your mum is safe”

“But what’s going to happen to us?”

“Someone’s going to come and rescue us and we’ll get to see mummy again” martin kissed his son on the forehead.

They were in middle of the ocean praying to get rescued. Martin was still worried and couldn’t stop thinking about his wife while he had a brave face for his son. Everyone started to worry about how they would survive, wondering if they had enough food or water for everyone. Unexpectedly one of the people on the boat freaked out and tried to eat all the food.

“You’ve got to put yourself together man, you’re not the only one who is freaked out here, if you don’t keep quiet everyone’s going to do the same thing and trust me you won’t like it” said someone else.

After the guy had calmed down, everyone heard this faint sound of a helicopter in the distance and someone screamed. “We’re saved!”

Many helicopters came and the rescue team had successfully returned them all to safety. As they reached the shore at an evacuation centre, everyone searched for their loved ones. Martin paced up and down, he couldn’t find his wife anywhere.

“Have any of you seen my wife?” Martin flashed her picture around frantically, only to be disappointed by the other survivors and the crowd.

The SES (state emergency services) began their search for any possible survivors.

It was dark and you can barely see, the waves were high, and the rescue boat was the only vehicle that they could use, every time the rescue boat hit towards the big waves it just seemed like it’s going to tip-over and it was just too dangerous for the SES team however it’s what they’re trained for and the only that was in their mind was to find survivors. The weather was just ruthless. In the bright side they found two survivors stuck in the middle of the sea both clinging on to a wood as if It looked like they were about to lose hope. It was a tough job trying to get the survivors on the boat.

“Over There! Two people clinging to a wood” one team of the SES

“We’re here to help you, we’re going to throw this life ring and both of you hold on tight and we will pull you!”

“Okay, okay” screamed both of the survivor while holding the life ring on tight with their left strength.

“Ready, set! Pull!” everyone helped pulled the life ring.

“Both of you are safe now”

“Thank you, thank you” said the survivor’s weak with tears on their eyes.

As the weather gets really rough, the SES made the tough decision to back out and go back. It was still a challenge for them to make their way back because of the ruthless weather .As the crowd and SES saw the lifeboat coming towards the shore everyone gathered and helped the two survivors and took them to paramedics. Everyone was just grateful that there were survivors.

Martin heard that they found survivors, he rushed up to see the SES. No success

“Excuse me, did you find my wife?” asked martin frantically

“Calm down sir, it was very rough out there we only
