JOB TITLE: Paper Based Invigilator

REPORTS TO: Examination and Assessment Officer

AREA: Examination and Assessment Service

GRADE/SALARY: £8.77 per hour

PURPOSE:

To oversee and supervise examinations and to ensure that guidelines and regulations for the integrity and security of the examination papers and procedures are followed during examination sessions.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

1. To conduct the start of examinations as required in ensuring the awarding body rules are adhered to, maintaining security and confidentiality.

2. To complete attendance on the official examination registers for Awarding Bodies and seating plans and other documents as require for internal purposes.

3. To collect question papers from the Examination Office and return completed scripts back at the end of the exam.

4. To report to the Examination Office as and when required.

5. To ensure that candidate’s are admitted into the Examination Room in a quiet and orderly way.

6. To ensure all candidates are aware of the pre-exam start information and of any erratum notice that may affect them.

7. To ensure there is no talking or disruption for the candidates once an examination has begun.

8. To adhere to policies, procedures and values of Solihull College.

9. To undertake Health and Safety and Safeguarding training as required.

10. To undertake necessary Health and Safety responsibilities and duties as required by this post.

11. To undertake any necessary Data Protection duties and responsibilities as required by the post.

12. Such other duties as required which are broadly consistent with the general functions and grading of this position.
