The world in which we live is truly an amazing and wondrous place.
It is home to a cheetah cat that can run 70 mph; insects that can sleep for 17 years; Weddell seals that can remain underwater for 45 minutes, diving to depths of 1500 feet; eight-armed, ink-shooting octopuses that can eat their own arms and grow new ones; archer fish that can shoot water 15 feet in the air and hit a bug; peregrine falcons that can swoop down on their prey at 150 mph; iron-eating bacteria that live 10,000 feet beneath the earth’s surface enduring pressures of 3,000 psi and scalding temperatures of 185 F; and so on.
The list of remarkable organisms and their amazing abilities is practically endless. The earth does indeed contain a myriad of highly complicated and intricate “adaptations,” which completely defy evolutionary explanation. Nature is simply teeming with innumerable examples of ingenious design and purpose. Me and my family believe a Christian worldview colors the glasses we look through at the world. The basic premise being that we believe the Bible is God’s Word and that it is without error and therefore is trustworthy relating to all manners of life and practice.
While the Bible is not a science or history book we believe all biblical references that mention science or history are accurate. Our view of evolution is, as we believe, man’s attempt to escape his ultimate accountability with God. Therefore an evolutionary worldview would seek to justify man’s sinful nature
