Today I will discuss the issue of euthanasia. An issue which has torn our country apart morally and socially. It has left the Australian community at a standstill on whether an individual has the right to choose when and how they should leave this world.
In examining this issue, i will be looking at the various stakeholders that euthanasia influences, it is easy to see it is not only complex, but crucial to respond to as a first world society/country.

The painless killing of a person suffering from an incurable and or painful disease or in an irreversible coma and or don't want to go through the rest of their life suffering.
I believe that high-quality end-of-life care should be by choice for terminally ill, mentally competent adults who feel they’re suffering has become unbearable and want to pass away in a way that they feel is right for them.
Euthanasia is illegal in Australia, but was legal for a period in the Northern Territory.

The Rights of the Terminally Ill Act 1995 legalized euthanasia in Australia’s Northern Territory. It passed by a vote of 15 to 10 and a year later, a repeal bill was brought before the Northern Territory Parliament in August 1996, but was defeated

A lot of people in the medical profession say, that anyone who is terminally ill should have the choice to have their life ended in a painless and way that they can feel better about it, and they should have the right to choose that.

Article 6 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights explains that “Every human being has the inherent right to life. This right shall be protected by law. No one shall be arbitrarily deprived of his life.”

Dignity in dying is a campaign and organization with an aim to legalize euthanasia, and assisted dying, within reason for terminally ill, mentally competent adults. They believe
Choice over where they would die, who is present and medical options.
Access to information, quality end-of-life care, and support for the people around them.
And Control over how they would die,

Pro’s
It gives people the control over their death and how they would feel like they have a dignified death.
To relieve the patient of the pain and suffering.
Con’s
There could be a cure to the patient later in the future.
Could have issues with it being done wrong
Expensive
Many patients, particularly those suffering from fatal illnesses can feel loss of dignity and control in the end stages of their life. They may lose all control of their bodily functions or be reliant on others for basic tasks and in some situations, voluntary euthanasia can help these people can end their life peacefully while they are in control and aware of what is happening.
