OF MICE AND MEN

In the book of mice and men , George and Lennie are best friends traveling together. Lennie is disabled, he forgets thing n he’s just like a big kid. At the end of the book George shoots Lennie in the back of the head and kills him. Was it the wrong or right thing for George to kill Lennie?? I Think it was right in a way. George had killed Lennie for several reasons, if George hadn’t killed Lennie himself Lennie would have been killed either way. Also he might have been tortured for the rest of his life. Back then people didn’t want people with disabilities around because they thought they were just a waste of space. George had killed Lennie so that he won’t have to suffer anymore. Lennie always was picked on because he was slow and forgetful. Everyone picked on him, he also didn’t have to worry about getting into trouble with George. George had done the right thing also because he knew if he hadn’t had killed Lennie, Lennie would probably harm someone even though he didn’t mean to. Lennie use to kill mice even though he didn’t mean to he just liked to pet them. Killing Lennie will affect George in so many ways. George cared for Lennie a lot, Lennie’s Aunt Clara had told George to watch over Lennie. George will miss Lennie a lot, they were so close and traveled everywhere together. He will miss Lennie’s company now that he’s gone. But, in a way George knows that Lennie is in a better place now. George’s life will be better in a way, he will
