The most terrifying and genocidal things can always be found in the past. Auschwitz wasn’t just a place of peace, but a place of terror. Auschwitz was made by what was involved in those walls of screaming. In general the creation and history of Auschwitz, the victims that were forced to stay, their lives within Auschwitz, and truly their liberation through it all.
In the creation of Auschwitz in 1940, the camp was built off of three camps of itself this included Auschwitz I, Auschwitz II, and Auschwitz III. Two of the camps were later on renamed to Auschwitz-Birkenau and Auschwitz-Monowitz. Auschwitz was the first camp established on the cleared land in Poland, this brought Auschwitz in the position as main camp of the facility. Auschwitz-Birkenau performed the overall duty of the concentration camps, in the works of genocide, by using gas chambers and crematorium ovens. Auschwitz-Monowitz was morally used as a factory in Synthetic rubber works, this created a way for the facility to gain money.
Altogether the three camps led to many deaths. The deaths of Jews, victims, non-jewish Poles, Roma, Sinti, Soviet prisoners of war, Soviet civilians, Lithuanians, Czechs, French, Yugoslavs, Germans, Austrians, and Italians were made up of thousands of whom that were brought to the camps. Approximately 960,000 Jews were killed, the victims included about 74,000 deaths, 21,000 Roma killed, 15,000 Soviet prisoners killed as well, and others including Soviet civilians, Lithuanians, Czechs, French, Yugoslavs, Germans, Austrians, and Italians killed at approximately of 10,000 to 15,000.
