Victor vs The Creature Similarities

Ever wonder about the relationship between a monster and human. There once was a man named Victor Frankenstein, and this man had the intelligence to create something new. Victor Frankenstein was this man who had created something. This new thing was known as the Creature or Monster. Although the Creature was originally created from multiple people, and was Victor’s creation itself, Victor had still had this uneasy felling deep in his gut and continued to keep his distance from the Creature.
Both Victor and the Creature have their similarities but they also have varied in a way. Victor and The Creature at the start of the novel had bigger similarities in which both victor and the creature were secluded from human interaction. Both Victor and the Monster seem to despise one another but strangely still, they both hate themselves for their wrong and uncontrolled actions. Starting with Victor secluded himself in his work when he was working with the creation of the Creature separating himself from the rest of society becoming absorbed in his research. “And the same feelings which made me neglect the scenes around me cause me also to forget those friends who were so many miles absent, and whom I had not seen for so long a time.” (Shelly 40). Victor was prepared for his scientific decision to create life, while the Creature’s major motive was to kill life out of rage for his no acceptance from others. “Life and death appeared to me ideal bounds, which I should first break through, and pour a torrent of light into our dark world.” (Shelley, 37) In thus both characters are secluded, forgotten, and have become empty shells of their personalities. The other aspect that the creature and Victor share in common is the vengefulness and family ties. As a boy Victor’s mother had passed away and resulting from this Victor did not have a mothers love. “She died calmly…it is so long before the mind can persuade itself that she whom we saw every day and whose every existence appeared a part of out own can have departed forever and the sound of a voice so familiar and dear to the ear can be hushed, never more to be heard.” (Shelley, 29) The monster in a similar case never had a mother to begin with so he was never able to understand that
