Diversity is about relationships and creating an environment that people can explore these differences in a safe, positive, and nurturing environment.

Crowthorne is a very divers large village with different people of all ages that come from backgrounds from all over the world. people from certain parts of world tend to live in the same areas as each other. This appears to create a sense of belonging. They also seem to work at Broadmore Hospital or ravenswood village.
The community that I live in is mainly conservative. We have a wide age range. Lots of people like to walk their dogs in the local woods. We live in a large village which has a high street full of interesting shops ranging from bargain range goods to specialised kitchen fitting to lady’s boutiques. We have a wide range of religious beliefs which include Christian, Methodist and catholic. We also have a free church group. We have 4 primary schools and 1 secondary school that serves our community. We also have 3 private schools.
On our street we have familys with small children, retired people and also some people living with disabilities.
3. Explain how the variations in question 2 contribute to the diversity of the community.
4. Give some examples to explain how diversity:
· Enhances your life
· Enhances the local community
· Enhances this country.
Diversity enhances my life because it means I can be a individual, I am not governed by style or my religious beliefs. I can do what I want when I want (within reason.) I an not judged by others. it teaches me to be more tolerant and I learn how to live with so many different people.
Because we live in a large village we have a wide range of diversity within our community. We hold events for the community e.g May fair organised by the C of E church and run by the congregation. we hold a carnival every second year that includes industry as well as the local schools, shops, and any other groups or individuals that wish to be involved. The carnival is organised by volunteers. We hold coffee mornings within the churches. There is also a youth club again run by volunteers for children that is held after school.
Diversity enhances this country by bringing together lots of people with different cultures ,beliefs, economic backgrounds, sexual preferences and interests. All of these things enhance our experiences, giving us new opportunities to embrace and learn new opportunities, products, services, religions and even friendships.
Diversity allows people to revaluate their own beliefs and values,
5. Describe what it means to respect people’s differences and why it is important to
