I’m not sure how I feel about question 6. I read it as Saturday’s were always
Nancy Penley’s scheduled day off. If that is the case, I don’t think it is fair that an employer can demand that she come in. However, at the same time I could see the employers side in that if they make an exception for one employee it will turn into exceptions for all.

Question 7 was another, I was a little surprised by. Not knowing the full details of the applicant. My initial thought was that the employer could tell an applicant that he or she will not get the job. How does the applicant know that the determining factor was age? It could be based on experience or lack of education. What is an employer to do in this situation? If an applicant that is over the age of 40 is not qualified and comes back with age discrimination, how is an employer to respond? !
