An entrepreneur is a hardworking person who goes out of his way to start his own business, this of coarse takes time, effort, initiative and lots of money. Although entrepreneurial success is usually a result of luck, I believe that it is achieved through planning, organizing, responsibility and confidence. Some good examples of successful entrepreneurs are Sam Walton who created Wal-Mart and Mike Llitch the founder of Little Caesars Pizza To start, one of the most successful entrepreneurs is Sam Walton, the founder of Wal-Mart. He wanted to have his own department store with food, clothes, furniture, and basically everything a household needs. His main reason to start the business was to support his family. To start this business he bought a store in Newport and borrowed $20,000.00 from his father-in-law. Wal-Mart first opened in 1962 and has been growing bigger and bigger ever since. Wal-Mart is important in today’s society because it has almost everything that somebody needs; you only have to go to one store to get your groceries for the week, clothes for your kids, a new TV etc…Many jobs have been created because of Wal-Mart, having more then 600,000 employees in America alone. Also in today’s economy people are always looking to save money, that is why a lot of people shop at Wal-Mart because they usually have the best prices and the best deals. This is only a few things that Wal-Mart does for a community but there’s many more that could have been mentioned (Thelittlee.com, Larch, 2011). Wal-Mart usually joins together with another business (McDonalds, Burger King, Little Caesars, Subway) to have a fast food restaurant located inside the department store, which leads us to our next entrepreneur.
