Enslavement and miseducation are often compared. Not only was African American’s bodies enslaved, but their minds were enslaved as well. African Americans thinking process have been corrupted since slavery. Today our education system is enslaved. People may think that slavery is over, but that is far from the truth. This education system has been miseducating minorities as if we were still slaves. Why is it that black people can’t get the same quality of education as whites? It’s because we are still looked down upon by whites. Although African Americans have accomplished so much since slavery, the world we never see us as equals. This education system is still shackled in chains and segregated. So the system dummies us down and try to hold us back so from, truth, knowledge, and success. The black community doesn’t control their educational system, our children will forever see the world through the perspective of white eye. During the indoctrination years, (formal education) the black community is being conditioned to love, honor and respect white history, people and where they come from on the planet. Blacks know everything about white people, but only take one month, February, to learn anything about the black community. And if you are awakened, then you know these are controlled lessons that only emphasis what you are learning the other 11 months out of the year.
