Opening Statements
Announcer: Good evening, and welcome to the Community news hour at 7:00. I am Timothy Blue and I will be your host for tonight’s broadcast. Brian Williams was unable to attend this evening due to sickness. Best wishes go out to him. We have quite a show in store for you tonight. Since our staff has been laid off because of the budget cut we have decided to have a news hour dedicated to the community and how we can all help to improve the lives of everyone around us. Tonight’s program will both inform us and the audience how we can all come together in the community to help one another. There will be many subjects covered tonight from social sciences to the public school setting, and finally the wellbeing of the community itself.
In the social sciences corner we have relationship specialist Jim Miles who will speak of the importance of communication as a treatment for depression in relationships. Also dealing with the social sciences tonight is child psychologist and regional expert, Reagan Pittman, who will discuss the effects of violent videogames on young children.
As the evening continues we will be addressed by Shawna Griffin who has researched human trafficking. She will discuss how we, as a community, can finally turn off the red lights to this growing problem.
I have also prepared a news special for you discussing the possibility of having creationism and evolution being taught along-side in a public academic setting.
Finally wrapping our discussion up this evening will be Tammie Watson who will speak of the involvement of the church in the community.
So, let the show commence. Over to you Jim!
Transition 1: Carrying on with the social sciences and presenting the effects of violent video games on children is Reagan Pittman.
Transition 2: Shawna will continue our news feed with the effects of human trafficking.

Should Creationism and Evolution be taught together as Theories in Schools?
Creationism or evolution has been debated ever since the dawn of Darwinism. Recently it was brought to the public’s attention on February 14th 2014 during the Bill Nye and Ken Ham debate discussing the topic, "Is Creation A Viable Model of Origins?" This debate tugged at the public’s interest in the topic and it also made many people really consider creationism as a real scientific conclusion to how life began on
