Out of the song and the poem chosen, the song was the most effective out of the two. The song is the most effective, because of the details given to give specific struggles faced by the musician and also the personal questioning of the authors. It is most effective in giving an emotional side by having hoped that his dad would be proud of what he has accomplished. The song is most effective in representing the theme, because it is more obvious. It is more obvious, because it gives more examples of what he is feeling and what he is going through during his career. To start off, the song gives more details about the struggles faced by the authors of the song. In the song it gives details of what they expect from their fathers. However, in the poem the author gives only few details about what he is going through making it hard to understand the struggles he is going through. Also, the song is more descriptive in the way of development of the lyrics chosen by the authors. Although, the song gives more details it also contributes to the personal questioning side of their stories to explain in depth. The poem isn’t as personally developed as the song. Also, the song is most effective in giving an emotional side to their stories about the death of their fathers. They talked about specific feelings they were feeling and what they hoped their fathers would think of their careers. Although the poem gives a little bit of emotion, the song is more effective because when you listen to the song, you can hear the emotions of the authors as they sing the song. The emotional side of the song makes you feel the pain that they are feeling about the death of their fathers. Lastly, the song is most effective in representing
