Sam Lord’s Castle
Everyone says that Sam Lord’s Castle at the end of the road is haunted. The old folklore of Sam Lord has ran from generation through generations, since the death of Sam Lord the castle is abandoned and unkempt it is covered with overgrown weeds and broken branches and inter-twinning vines through the shutters. The doors are slashed, the roof is crushed with fallen trees, and the windows are shattered, there’s demonic symbols all over the walls, it’s a horrific site.
My friend Mike and I, extremely enthusiastic about the tale and the castle, we decided to explore and really discover if what people said about the castle was true. So one afternoon after school, Mike and I nervously approached the entrance of the lonesome and mysterious castle. We carried along a torchlight, and some matches and candles just in case anything spooky and frightening happens.
As we ventured towards the castle door, Mike and I come across a huge sign saying, “Beware of the deathly creatures and corpses of the Great Sam Lord!!” Mike was petrified and shriveled up like a prune. We continued to explore the strange atmosphere and unfamiliar surroundings, in front of the doorstep the door was jammed and sealed and it couldn’t be opened. Mike said, “Look there! There’s a secret passage way leading underground.” As we crept down and crawled through the tunnel like soldiers in barracks we were uncertain of where we would end up. Finally, we escaped the tunnel and we found ourselves in the dining room. As we gazed around the room, there was shattered glass and broken plates scattered all over the room, the walls were decorated with peoples’ heads along the slashed walls with knives pierced through their heads and skeletons hanging from the ceiling, there were dead animals such as; pigs and sheep and cows body parts dissected all over the dining table, the intestines of the animals were wrapped around the chandelier oozing liquid onto the floor. It was an awful and gruesome scenery.
Mike and I ventured into the living room terrified holding our heads down and not looking up to see any scarier image or display the castle had to offer, Mike crept through the room on his ‘tip-toes’ and I followed him this time with my head planted in the ground minding where I stepped…. “Bam!!” I hit my head and something hard and stern, I slowly looked up and in front of me was a man with a sledge hammer in his only hand, wearing a triangular shaped mask with red dots on it which symbolized a demonic group. I screamed and stampeded through the room looking for Mike, he was nowhere to be found I looked back and the man was creeping up closer and closer by the second. I shouted, “Mike!! Where are you? There’s a ghoul following me!!!” When I found Mike, he was hiding under a shelf signaling to me to come that he
