EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This is an in-depth study of Elemica’s existing B2B online business and the report contains the findings and its business potential of achieving a larger market share of the online supply chain management in the world. Several key factors have been considered and analyzed and a strategic plan developed to achieve Elemica’s e-Business initiative of global expansion.

The company’s core purpose is to connect suppliers, customers and logistic service providers together promoting reduced cost of operations, faster process execution, automation of key business processes, removal of transactional barriers, and seamless information flow between business partners (Elemica.com, 2011). Elemica offers two main solutions, SmartLink and QuickLink, both of which concentrate on these supply chain processes. QuickLink is designed to have a fully integrated supply chain management within the company, whereas SmartLink is modularized so the customers can individually decide what options they need or in which steps they’d like to introduce process by process into the company. Both solutions are tools to optimize data flow only, leaving the core competencies of negotiating chemical products to the customers.
