This is not equal and right because sometimes people who have done a crime might get away with it with being punished. The non-legal methods are easy to access and more cheaper than the courts and also doesn’t take a lot of time until decision is agreed. It is also a good because negotiation is a good thing for example they are voluntary, private and confidential, quick and inexpensive, parties control the process and also can result in a win-win solution. If the negotiation has failed then a mediator can be used this is a voluntary process the mediator helps with communication and try to help the parties so they mutually reach an agreement. But the mediator does not make a decision or nor enforce it. Mediators can be used for customers and merchants, landlords and tenants, employers and employees. You would use the courts if you want your protection against the criminals around the world and so you want the law to be just and get the criminal to be punished for his acts.
