Don’t Raise Driving Age Hannah Graves
What do you think about the driving age being lowered to twenty one? My opinion is that the driving age should stay at 16.

One reason why I think the driving age should not be raised to twenty one is because most kids have jobs when they are juniors and seniors. If you have a job in high school, you can’t rely on your parents to drive you to work every day or night. Your parents may have other things to do, and they probably have work to go to their selves. For example, a student might have to go to their job, but he doesn’t have a car or his license to get there and his parents are at work.

Another reason why I think the driving age should not be raised to twenty one is because kids would normally start college before twenty one. When you start college, you may not live in a dorm and live at home, and if you do live at home and don’t have your license, then how do you expect that person to get to their classes? And if your parents aren’t home, then you would have no way of getting to their classes.

The last reason why I think the driving age should not be raised to twenty one is because you have more responsibility. When you have your own car and have your license, you have to pay bills for the car. And when you have your license, you can be responsible with how much gas you need to use and how much money you need to put in it. And if you get your license at sixteen, then you can learn these responsibilities even
