George Washington Excellency gives you great summary of what he went through in his life. George Washington was commander in chief of the Continental army during the American Revolution and first president of the United States 1789-97. Washington was born in Westmoreland County, Virginia on February 22, 1732. He was a very creative person with a lot of different ideas. He never attended college, because he didn’t have the book smarts some schools were looking for. That didn’t stop Washington from going on with a mindset to do great things with his life. He first gained public notice when he joined Virginia's four military districts, he was dispatched October 1753. Washington's had a lot of danger and difficulty of his journey to warn others about the war that was about to start. Washington in the French and Indian war made some very poor decisions. He knew of other forts in the war that were being ambushed, and over taking by French troops. Located in southwestern Pennsylvania Washington built a fort that was not the best thought through idea. He built the fort in an open field at the bottom of a hill where you can see directly inn from above. Fort Necessity was the name of this fort built by Washington, and his troops in the early start of the French and Indian war. Overwhelmed Washington was upset with his he decided to stand down in commission near the end of 1754. The next year he volunteered to join British general Edward Braddock. Braddock was terminated in war by an ambush in July months later after taking command. At age 23 George Washington was promoted to commander in chief of the Virginia military. At such a young age he had a lot on his shoulder, and was taking a big risk by accepting the role as chief of the Virginia military.
Later on in Washington’s life he married Martha Dandridge Custis she was a wealthy attractive young women who had two kids. He was very much in love with his new wife Martha and was finally happy he accepted marriage. Although all the good things George had is life he had a lot of bad moments. He had lost New York City to the British civilians and troops were falling the year after marriage. In May of 1787 Washington was elected into projects with the government to help solve major crisis. George Washington generally supported the central government that was very strong in 1787. When the new Constitution was submitted Washington was elected president in 1789.
