Dear Friend,
We write to ask you to support our organization this year with a donation to our annual fundraising campaign. Our organization Reaching Back a subsidiary of Gods Diva Charm School is a Non-profit organization that assists individuals in our community with a mission to embrace and inspire people to build a higher quality of life’s attainable goals. I Melissa Ervin, founder of Reaching Back welcome you to view our website and read "my story". I have a belief that we all as individuals have a story to share that could benefit others. With my personal testimony I welcome others to share my experiences of domestic violence and why I was compelled to start this program to reach back and help as many as I can.
In order for our organization to complete our mission and provide services in our community, we rely on the generosity of individuals and businesses for support. Reaching Back is designed to embrace the community and encourage as well as uplift the people to have achievable goals of becoming successful through the varies programs offered within the organization. Participants of the Reaching Back Programs have the opportunity to take advantage of computerized GED Prep classes with personalized tutors to work on his/her educational level with the goal of obtaining his/her GED. It is unfortunate that people that do not successfully graduate high school or have this equivalent exam have a 50 percent chance of becoming unemployed. A GED diploma is an important tool for continuing education leading people to better opportunities.
Other programs associated with the organization include but not limited to job training and computer tutorials provided to enhance basic skills of Microsoft Office which will lead into the participant creating resumes and social media accounts that will be used to conduct daily job searches. Mock Interviews along with discussions of Appropriate Interview Attire and Proper Workplace Etiquette will also be a part of the programs offered at Reaching Back.
Participation within the Reaching Back program for each participant will be continuous and on-going until he or she has successfully meet his or her goals ultimately leading to 30 hour or more employment and becoming
