The KKK: Klu Klux Klan

There are several domestic terrorist groups in the United States. I would like to focus on the Klu Klux Klan, or KKK. They have had a big impact in the United States. They are most known for violent acts towards other races, mix races, and the people who support them. The clan was founded in the 1860’s by none-other than our confederate veterans. After doing some things to learn of how to become a member some of what I have found has varied from applications to a list of requirements. A list of semi-rational list of requirements was as follows, 1. You must be a free white male or female of European descent, at least 18 years of age. (We do verify age) 2. You must be a Protestant able to profess faith in Jesus Christ as personal Savior 3. You must not be married to or date people of other races, nor have mixed race dependents, this includes adopted children. 4. You must agree to conform to the rules of this order, and be willing to swear you will NOT conspire to commit any crime while an associate. 5. You must not join us with mercenary intent, or under secret evasion of any sort. 6. Under NO circumstances will we accept for associate ship: homosexuals, atheists, or those who have been found mentally insane. We will not accept candidates that have been convicted of treason, or espionage against the United States of America. 7. You must be a U.S. citizen and have a U.S. address. We do not accept foreign nationals, nor have foreign associates. 8. You must not be on probation or parole. (Those on probation or parole are NOT free men) (2014). I am sure that the actual members will watch and learn everything about anyone who wants to become a member in order to make sure that they do believe and have the same views as the KKK. I doubt it would be easy to infiltrate that kind of organization easily. There have been many types of criminal activities most commonly known due to history books and stories are the burning of crosses. However, they have been known to murder, torture, brutally beating and firebombing (Klu Klux Klan, 2013). In recent events there was an alleged KKK murder of a black woman that had an Obama t-shirt. She was put on a cross and then burned alive (shropshire, 2012). Further in history there was a school that was bombed by a member of the Klu Klux Klan. At an colored school it was a horrible tragedy (Simkin, 1997). From an inside source, throughout the years they have armed black rival gangs and turned blacks against each other, cutting back the black population and no being subjected to speculation of outside sources. Many people know that the Klan is against those of colored or mix race backgrounds. But is there more? Over the years there have been KKK members of every generation. There are also different aspects to each group. Each generation has it own spin off of the KKK. They can be found all over the United States whether it be cities or rural areas or as my grandfather says any backwoods, inbreed town in the United States. However, the Ku Klux Klan is a group of American white supremacists who believe that all non-Caucasian peoples are inferior and that they have no place in the United States which is only truly home to the whites. All members of the Ku Klux Klan must be one hundred percent white and Christian. These people feel that they must unite and create “white power” to defend the white race from other races found in America. They also claim that whites must maintain control of the United States and keep all people of other races and religions from gaining power. Klansmen feel a strong sense of hate towards anyone who is not of their race and religion. They discriminate against these people, and have been known to use acts of violence to intimidate and hold down other races, and people who have
