Louise Erdrich was born on June 7, 1954 in Little Fall, Minnesota. Erdrich is the author of several novels, poem and a few children books that focuses on Native American heritage. Erdrich obtained her Bachelor degree at Dartmouth College in 1976 and later made acquaintance with her husband to be whom later became the director of the Dartmouth College Native American Studies program. After college she took a job as a newspaper producer for the urban Native population in Boston. In 1979 to be exact Erdrich received her Master of Arts degree in creative Writing at the famous institution of Johns Hopkins University. From 1978 to 1982 Erdrich was at her prime throughout these years she published several poems and short stories. Her recent work titled Shadow Tag revolves around a dysfunctional marriage with an unreachable exit. Like most families within this nation.
