Definition of Diversity The word diversity mean so many things and differently to people. For me diversity means much more like a race and a place that full of different ethnicity or mixing culture. Diversity mostly happens in the school, especially during the college years. People all across the globe wants to go to a good university try to pursue their education. When it comes to the school with multiple cultural, people have a better chance to understand how the person from other country do with their life. Communication is a very important part of diversity because in order to bring diversity into the school, people have to actually communicate to each other, care about each other and help each other out whenever they in need. I am from Cambodia; I came to America about four and half years ago. I went to Lincoln West High School which is located on west 30th Street in Cleveland. This school is the most diversity place I’ve ever seen. I have friends who are from all over the world: China, Vietnam, Jamaica, Kenya, Philippine, Iraq, Argentina, Mexico, Nepal, Dominican Republic, Peru, Puerto Rico, Ecuador, and El Salvador. It was the greatest experienced that I will remember forever and never forget. Judging from personal experience I would have to agree that English being the Native Language of the United States, should be something to strive for. Especially those who want to make a home and progress in this country. Not only is our constitution based upon the English Language, it also emphasized the fact that an individual should know English if he/she wishes to become a citizen. I believe that language disputes are all over the world, and there needs to be a change in order for us to become…
