A disorder, also known as a mental disorder, is a pattern of behavioral or psychological symptoms that impact multiple life areas and/or create distress for the person experiencing these symptoms. Two different disorders i'd like to discuss is phobic disorder and personality disorders.
A phobic disorder is the persistant and excessive fear of some object or activity and or situation. People like this will usually avoid whatever it is that's freaking them out whether it's an object, an activity or a certain situation. The symptoms for this phobia in# physical signs, such as restlessness, trouble falling or staying asleep, headaches, trembling, twitching, muscle tension, or sweating, often accompany these psychological symptoms, persistent concern about having additional attacks. Different things they could have phobias about could be fear of animals, heights, closed spaces, storms, etc. There are treatments for this phobia which include medication that could lower the fear, the amount of support around you like family, friends, counslers or whatever to motivate you from overcoming a fear, anxiety management is useful as it can be a cognitive behavioural therapy with strategies being taught to help people cope with the anxiety evoked, and the support of therapist and/or relatives is often crucial. The prognosis for a specific phobias is more reliable when untreated because it may be easy to avoid the situation or object that causes fear and anxiety. The next disorder i would like to discuss is a personality disorder. A personality disorder is long lasting patterns of perceiving relating to and thinking about the environment and oneself that are maldaptive and inflexible. There are seven different types of these disorders: paranoid personality disorder which is extreme sensitivity, suspicious and mistrust of others. Schizoid is the inability to form and an indifferent interpersonal relationships cold or aloof. Histronic P.D, has an overly dramatic reactive and demonstrates intensely expressed behavior, Anti-social P.D has an exceptional lack of regard for rights and property of others,
