Many health care professional have great concerns about the growth of the aging population, chronic disease and the epidemic of obesity, and how will the United States healthcare system prepared for this continuing epidemic. The fact that the aging population along with obesity epidemic is a global healthcare concern, many health cares’ professional is baffled about how to address the growing epidemic that many American’s will face.

In addition to taking advantage of medical precautionary services, and continue to engage in activities with family and friends are more likely to remain healthier, can live independently longer and most importantly will incur fewer health-related injuries.
Other factors that play a vital trend in in the U.S. population are obesity. Obesity has been associated with an enormous number of debilitating and life-threatening diseases and disorders. As a result of being obese it reduces the longevity in the elderly and younger generation. Because of the increasing rate of obesity, many people wonder how this epidemic occurred. Many have come to the conclusion that environmental factor may play a role as to why there is such an alarming obesity rates that affects more than 80% of the U.S population adults and children.
Although environmental factors have changed dramatically over the past three decades, environmental change may shed some light on the epidemic of obesity. Many may suggest or favor the idea of environmental change as factor to the increase body weight. One of the leading factors that may cause the increase in obesity is the availability of convenience foods (e.g. fast food and take out). The amplified use of automobiles, television, video games and other forms of entertainment that do not involve enormous efforts for physical activity.
