I began to prepare the dinner that was being made for all of my friends to celebrate the purchase of my summer home in Prague. I had picked out a meal comparable to no other, it consisted of a wonderful French chicken dish, french style bakers potatoes, bruschetta as an appetizer, 1998 Beringer Cabernet Sauvignon Tre Colline, and warm apple pie as dessert. I chose these because they would fit the occasion well and these foods were among some of my favorite and the blend of delecate flavors would appeal to the group.
I picked the Chicken Coq Au Vin because it is one of the most famous of all French Chicken dishes, and to me certainly the most delicious. Consisting of a rich red wine sauce, sweet tender onions, an appealing mushroom garniture, and of course its succulent browned pieces of chicken. The Pommes De Terre à la Boulangere was picked because its aromatic smell brings back fond memories of when I first tried it while visiting my newly furnished home in the wonderful French town of Chinon. The Roasted Red Pepper and Tomato Bruschetta was chosen as an appetizer because it starts off the dinner with a zestful whip of flavour without overwhelming the stomach and leaving plenty of room for the rest of the meal. Along with the meal will be several bottles of 1998 Beringer Cabernet Sauvignon Tre Colline, this wine reveals an evolved herbaceous odor, medium body, and a soft, uninspiring albeit attractive finish. After everyone is stuffed with good food and spirits, a

Zikira Newton Mr. Jamison, DDB Descriptive Essay 10/09/2014 Over the last four years here at my home, I never took the energy to take a glance at what was going on in the big, tan-striped building outside my metal framed fence. As I gazed at the playground with curiosity of what the noise might have been. The white pudgy seagulls were hunting…
