What It Means To Be a Banana Dajour Pride

I wonder about all the rules it takes to be a banana. Throughout my whole life, every other fruit were a competition to me. I always wanted to be everyone’s favorite fruit. I didn’t realize it at the moment, but I needed to believe in myself, before others could believe in me. I thought all I had to do, was stay fresh, but that wasn’t all. I have to get the basics down pack, so I can fully find myself. This is what it means to be a banana.
I remember when I first lost hope for my kind. It was a night at the club, and I spotted a beautiful apple that had green skin. I saw her look at me, so I walked over to go talk. I asked her does she have an owner, and she said her owner was Sally. “Does she like bananas?” I asked quickly. “You seem desperate”, said the apple. You look like a dirty banana to me. She walked away without looking back at me. That day was the worst day in my whole life, and it happened to be my birthday.
I didn’t know what to do after rejection, so I sat down on the couch to watch TV. “Do you hate being the last chosen food?” said the guy on the TV. “Buy this guide to change that”, he said. I received the guide two weeks later, and opened it up. The first rule was to never lie, and always tell the truth. The second rule says get what you want in life, so you can succeed. The third rule wanted me to stay loyal, and don’t mess up another food’s career, unless they messed with yours.
I took a deep breath, and said I will be ready. It has been two months already, and I was halfway there. I got my name out there, and changed history for bananas. When was the last time you’ve seen a banana on a billboard? All I needed now was the owner. I went to the grocery store and hopped in the container. All I thought about was, I trained my whole life for this. A beautiful woman came by and spotted me real quickly. She bought me with a smile on
