The story began in the 18th century with the wedding of the King Louis XVI and the Austrian princess Marie, a 14-year-old princess from Austria. France was a hierarchal society. The privileged few people lived very well condition and the masses of the people lived in poverty. The poor people accepted this situation, because this hierarchal situation was very normal in this time. This documentary's major players are the last Queen Marie Antoinette, the King Louis XVI and Maximilien Robespierre who was a politician and lawyer. This documentary focuses on the surface details of the French Revolution. There are a lot of details about the French revolution. But if you don't know anything about the French Revolution, this documentary is very useful for history enthusiast. Producer used to annoying soundtracks in the background of the documentary. This soundtracks was increasing tension of human during the documentary. After that half of the film, director used most of the time the guillotine designed for executions. It was showed like a tool for the Enlightenment of Age. We saw bloody scenes in France with horror. Masses of poor people was entertaining about execution of their king, queen and aristocracy member. Also producer reflected the Queen Marie Antoinette was responsible for the French Revolution. She was depicted arrogant, greedy and mindless and ignorant.
