Corporate Executive Criminal Conviction Paper Criminal activity by executives in the corporate world surely exist. It is just a matter of them being punished for their illegal activity. As an alternative of facing pressures such as financial penalties, company executives now find themselves facing imprisonment.
Food Safety Enforcement through Criminal Prosecution

Three former executives Stewart Parnell, former owner, and Michael Parnell, former food broker and Mary Wilkerson the former quality control manager from the Peanut Corporation of America (PCA), were found guilty for knowingly shipping contaminated products. “This trial involved allegations that the Parnell’s knowingly shipped contaminated peanut butter and peanut paste to customers and faked lab tests intended to screen for salmonella, resulting in one of the largest food recalls in U.S. history”("Beyond Regulation By Litigation: Food Safety Enforcement Through Criminal Prosecution", 2014). The unethical conduct that has occurred was that they knowingly knew that if consumers were to eat the products that they would become ill as well faking lab tests that screen specifically for salmonella.
“The 12-member jury found Stewart Parnell guilty of 67 federal felony counts, including conspiracy, wire fraud and obstruction of justice, while Michael Parnell was convicted of 30 counts related to falsification of lab results but was acquitted of actually shipping salmonella-tainted food. Mary Wilkerson was convicted on one count of obstruction of justice but acquitted on another; she faces a maximum of 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
