Compare and contrast two Plants

The amazon rainforest is home to some of the most diverse wildlife on the planet. Among this forest are thousands of Plant species. One of these species produces a material found in nearly every athletic shoe, as well as tires, hoses, and many more all come from one source, the rubber tree (Hevea brasiliensis). The rubber tree produces latex for the purpose of defending itself against insects trying to eat and kill the tree. Humans have discovered that by slashing the trees and collecting the latex solution in a bucket we can harvest and later refine it into rubber. Rubber is used virtually everywhere. If rubber didn’t exist we’d have cars without tires and shoes with leather sole’s. Running and walking would be more painful on the knees and our feet would constantly ache. This is why without the rubber tree we’d be worse off.

Cotton (Gossypium hirsutum) is a species of plant that is used around the world for the manufacture of fabric. The fabric has many properties. It is soft, absorbent, can be strung into strings and then textiles, remains cool on hot days, and retains color. The seeds are used to make oils along with other things. The cotton plant is one of the most beneficial plants used by humans.

Both of these things together are used to create shoes and other articles of clothing. The difference in these is very drastic. For instance you wouldn’t used rubber to wipe up a spilled glass of juice and you wouldn’t play soccer
