A is for Adapter

Adapter (noun) - a device for connecting pieces of equipment that cannot be connected directly.

We have a wireless adapter in my home.

B is for Backup

Backup (noun) - the procedure for making extra copies of data in case the original is lost or damaged.

I have a backup on my phone so I won't lose anything.

C is for Cc

Cc (verb) - to send a copy of a business letter or an e-mail to someone in addition to the person addressed

Cc:

Cc is normally seen when using your E-mail.

D is for Download

Download (verb) - copy (data) from one computer system to another or to a disk.

My mother likes to download BigFish games.

E is for Electricity

Electricity (noun) - a form of energy resulting from the existence of charged particles (such as electrons or protons), either statically as an accumulation of charge or dynamically as a current.

We use electricity in our every day lives.

F is for Firewall

Firewall (noun) - establishes a barrier between a trusted, secure internal network

All computers have firewalls to protect them.

G is for Google

Google (verb) - search for information about (someone or something) on the Internet using the search engine Google.

We use Google a lot more than we think.

H is for Hardware

Hardware (noun) - tools, machinery, and other durable equipment.

A computer is made up of hardware.

Iis for Import

Import (verb) - transfer (data) into a file or document.

I used to import pictures from my phone onto the computer.

J is for JPEG

JPEG (noun) - a format for compressing image files.

Most of the pictures on the computer is saved as JPEGs.

K is for Keyboard

Keyboard (noun) - a panel of keys that operate a computer or typewriter.
To make this document, I am using a keyboard.

L is for Linux

Linux (noun) - an open-source operating system modelled on UNIX.

I cannot type the words that express the way I feel about Linux.

M is for Monitor

Monitor (noun) - a device that displays signals on a computer screen.
I am really sick of looking at this monitor.

N is for Network

Network (verb) - link (machines, esp. computers) to operate interactively.
Just about everything on the Internet is on the network.

O is for Operating System
Operating System (noun) - the software that supports a computer's basic functions, such as scheduling tasks, executing applications, and controlling peripherals.
Our school uses Linux for their operating system.

P is for Pop-Up
Pop-Up (noun) - an unrequested browser window, esp. one generated for the purpose of advertising.
Pop-Ups are really annoying when using the Internet.

Q is for QuickTime
QuickTime (noun) – a computer application enabling users to download music from the internet, create and order playlists, etc
A lot of people don't know what QuickTime is used for.
