“Today’s Lotus Flowers” In this modern world we have a lot of responsibility; however there are some activities that make us to not do what we are responsible for. In the book “Tales from the Odyssey” by Marry Pope Osborne, in chapter three Odysseus wants to get home safe, after the storm passed they arrive on an island. Odysseys took three of his men to look for provisions on the island, and they didn’t find what they were looking for. The people who were living on the island give to the three men “Lotus Flowers”. The “Lotus Flowers” are like drugs, which make the people forget everything about the responsibility. In addition the “Lotus Flowers” have so many meaning. It can be alcohol, drugs, and some activities that keep us out of all our responsibility. In this composition I will write about “Today’s Lotus Flowers”, and how that makes people forget everything, or make them joyful.
The “Lotus Flowers” of today make people forget everything about the responsibility and their life. “Lotus Flowers” can be; Marijuana, Cocaine, Alcohol, and Tobacco, etc. And there are some activities that also make us forget everything about our responsibility. The activities are watching television, using the cell phone, computer, and parties etc. These means “Lotus Flowers” make people forget about who they are. For examples drugs have so many types of effect that make us really crazy. Drugs make us crazy because it’s have a lot of chemical’s that affect the ways our body works. There is "Lotus Flower" today like marijuana and others. Marijuana is the most commonly used drug in the United States. When the people smoke, it begins to effects us immediately, and can last for one to three hours. In addiction when the marijuana is in the food, as “lotus flowers “do, the effects take longer to begin. Also marijuana affects the brain. Cocaine affects the brain to. Cocaine is the highly addictive and those who smoke cocaine appear to develop an addition to the drugs more rapidly. Cocaine is not only by inhale. Also it's by injected too. The user to use more cocaine more often to try to maintain that high as similar to “lotus Flowers”. The alcohol enters the blood stream through the stomach and intestine. Beer and “lotus flowers” are the same, also the commercials always make it seem like drinking beer will make you feel great. But it’s hard to know how people will act after drinking alcohol. Also the alcohol is a drug it doesn’t matter if isn’t liquid. Tobacco also is similar to the marijuana they can smoke and cook with them. Marijuana, cocaine, and alcohol are as similar as "Lotus Flowers", because it get us the same effect, it would making us acting like crazy. The "Lotus Flowers" make Odysseus men forget everything about their life, it makes them acting like children the same as the marijuana, cocaine, and alcohol does.

Activities that make us to forget our responsibility are watching television, cell phone, the compute, and parties. This
