Inner Beauty VS Outer Beauty

“The beauty of a woman is not in a facial mole, but true beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It is the caring that she lovingly gives, the passion that she knows.” Many people have heard this famous quote by Audrey Hepburn and these words could not be any more true. Beauty, can come in two distinct forms; inner and outer. Both types of beauty play a major impact in life through first impressions, jobs, social status, and even friendships and relationships. However, it’s important to know that who you are emotionally is what gets you places. Inner beauty reflects how you live your life which is by far the most important thing to remember.
In our generation, most people look at outer beauty before inner beauty. Outer beauty is always changing through society’s ideal perfect image for people and refers to their figure, features, complexion, and elegance. These features are biological, yet they can be masked through fake perfection aids like, makeup, jewelry, clothing, and hair. Outer beauty is what originally draws one person to another. This is what makes a first impression and how someone will come to view that person until they learn more about their inner beauty. This type of beauty can influence a person’s personality by making them more self confident, self conceited, etc. People who withhold societal “ideal” outer beauty features often have a crappy personality making their outer beauty seem uglier and are often materialistic. Also this beauty often fades with age leaving behind a sudden image of the features that once were their personality focal points.
On the other hand, inner beauty is the purest expression of beauty and is what draws a person to another and keeps them yearning that persons companionship. Inner beauty defines a person’s heart and personality. Some of the things inner beauty can be, are quality of mind, habits, and traits such as; kindness, humility, generosity, empathy, and patience. These features cannot be manufactured and are a true representation of character and heart. Inner beauty can be referred to as a “glow” and people who have this most likely have a true interest in life rather than the materialistic ingredients life can offer.
