I am more than my clothes. I am more than my shoes. I am more than my hair. I am more than my weight. (Parallelism)

I am a woman who shouldn’t have to abide by the standards set by society.

Body

Society commands for a female to appear womanly and proportionate, exquisite and perfected. (Parallelism) Every curve of the body, every feature the body has to offer, every ounce of flesh in the body (Parallelism) is considered just as valuable as the actual character of a woman’s being. The standards of the woman lie within a foundation that insists only when a woman is beautiful can she be valued. This assumption in turn creates an unrealistic expectation that a female individual must consistently live up to.

Society needs to stop setting standards (alliteration) so high for females and just let us live our life.

Society is easy on the eyes, but hard on the heart. (Antithesis)

If a female doesn’t act a certain way she is judged. If a female doesn’t talk a certain way she is judged. If a female doesn’t dress a certain way she is judged. (Parallelism)

A female isn’t like a virtual doll on a video game that you can create to your liking. (Simile)

A female is like a shooting star (Simile), someone special that shouldn’t be judged but rather appreciated as she is.

This brings me to how the speaker should be remembered by addressing females’ vulnerability to males.

Females have a fear of being alone forever.
Whenever I am surrounded by a group of females the topic of discussion is constantly relationships and guys period.

Yes the females I hang around are still young and shouldn’t be worried about relationships right now, but how can anyone ignore it when it is constantly plastered on billboards, in magazines, and on TV.

No matter how many times a female may say she is independent and that she doesn’t need a man, she will always want someone special in her life.

A female loses her identity when it comes to a man. She turns into a different person in order to be liked by the male. She changes her
