coal the wolf by fayth aten Once upon a time there was a little girl her name was Sara. Her father`s name is jack. They like to go camping with each other. One time when they went camping they thought something was following them. They thought it was just a bird, so they kept going until they got to their favorite campsite. When they got there Jack asked Sara to get some firewood. So she went off to gather some. While she was gathering the wood she heard something in the bushes. She wondered what it was. She went quietly over by the bush to see. When she looked on the other side of the bush there was a little black wolf pup. She took the wolf pup back to the campsite. Jack did not think it was a good idea but he let her keep him for the night. She named the wolf Coal because he looked like a little block of coal. When it was time for them go. Sara said to Coal "Goodbye Coal I hope we can see each other again some day." Coal got an idea. He jumped into the back of their truck and layed down so they couldn`t see him. When Sara and Jack got home they went to unlaod the truck. They heard a barking noise from the truck. Sure enough there was Coal sitting in the back of the truck. She asked her dad if she can keep Coal forever. Her dad said "I don`t know about this but let`s give it a really good try." He began to like Coal and maybe even loved him "Just a little." He eventually saw the wisdom in keeping such a good friend and let her keep Coal. They lived happy ever after ...all
