I hold my undergraduate degree, Bachelor of Technology major in Civil Engineering from Manav Rachna International University, Faridabad, Haryana, India. Civil Engineering not only helped me to experience unparalleled classroom learning with The work of a civil engineer has direct impact not only on the development of a country but also on an individual’s life. Thus, the primary role of a civil engineer is to develop the society which directly enhances the life of its people. To further hone my skills and gain practical knowledge, I undertook industrial internships as a trainee engineer at Larsen & Toubro in DLF Mall of India Project during July 2013, Vij Engineering Consultants during July 2014 and FEMC – Pratibha JV in Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) project during January – June 2015. Being present and attentive on construction sites provided me a hands-on experience about application of theoretical knowledge in the practical world and opportunities to explore new avenues. I feel pleased to have chosen civil engineering as my career option as it has revealed a pragmatic approach. Thus, the vast application potential and tremendous scope for high career in civil engineering has always fascinated me and I am keen to continue my academic pursuit in this field.
