Comparing the facilities that I have interviewed with the facilities that some of the students have interviewed, I have found some similarities and differences on how small, medium and large facilities handle their loose reports and organize their patients file. The first similarly that I have found and it seems to be the same for most facilities would be that are their records are permanently anchored to their chart, this is a great idea because it prevent any miss happens like lost paper work or misplaced it’s also a great way to ensure that all paper work will be together at all times. It seem to me that the most common form of organization within the facilities regardless of the size they seem to use chronological order, although there are other forms of organized like by categories of chart which would include labs, specialist and so on, others use numeric form, alphabetized order or by date. Usually the order that is used is picked out by whatever the policy is requirements from that specific facility are. Electronic record keeping seems to be the most common form of keeping records especially between medium and large facilities; it makes sense because it’s a lot easier for storage, keeping track of patients, retrieving lost records and keeping everything organized in one terminal. From what I have seeing in my interview the facilities I choose seems to work the other way around the medium size and large use paper record keeping while the same uses electronic and
