Changing of State

My Hypothesis for this experiment is; Ice has a temperature below 0°C and drink has temperature approximately 20°C. After heat transfer, temperature of system with melted ice will balance on temperature a few degrees less than original temperature. Thermal energy is transferred by conduction, where energy is passed from molecule to molecule. Hotter substance (water) released heat to increase temperature of ice up to melting point, then change the state of solid ice into liquid water and hot and cold water were then mixed and temperature of the system was decreased. Energy lost by water cooling down = energy gained by ice. Temperatures of ice, water and final substance can be measured using digital thermometer, volumes of water or masses of ice can be measured by digital scales and from equation of heat transfer can be relatively precisely calculated the latent heat. Latent heat is a dependent variable, conditional on independent variables such as the mass of water, mass of ice, temperature of water. Melting Ice Data Table

The Temperature of the water changed its state at 8 degrees Celcious because that is when it started to slowly melt, Then, at 13 degrees all of the ice turned into water. The Temperature began rapidly increasing after the ice began to melt at the very beginning. When the water started boiling the temperature kept rising , but more slowly. Once the temperature reached 94 degrees it stopped.
Latent Heat is the heat required to convert a solid into a liquid or vapor, or a liquid into a vapor, without change of temperature. Latent heat durations show up as just one point, since temperature and pressure are both constant. However,
