The statement that I agree with most is that there are no valid reasons for conquering people. When explores conquer other people the usually end up killing innocent people. When explores conquer other people the usually destroy their culture and their daily lives. Also when explores conquer other people they usually are looking for money or wealth. So when explores conquer places they usually leave them in poverty. Also the it ruins the economy of the country because other country that conquer them make them pay taxes, they had to adapt to their conquers new customs and their language.
One of the key ideas in the renaissance was humanism. Artist showed deep interest in ancient art. They emphasized on human beings and achievementsAs a cultural movement, it encompassed innovative flowering of Latin and vernacular literatures, beginning with the 14th-century resurgence of learning based on classical sources. ( 1) In politics, the Renaissance contributed the development of the conventions of diplomacy. During the Renaissance, great advances occurred in geography, astronomy, chemistry, physics, mathematics, manufacturing, and engineering. The rediscovery of ancient scientific texts was accelerated after the Fall of Constantinople in 1453, and the invention of printing which would democratize learning and allow a faster propagation of new ideas. But, at least in its initial period, some see the Renaissance as one of scientific backwardness. ( 2) In the 1400s, Europe’s population was growing, and so was the demand for trade. This encouraged more people to start traveling. I think that this encouraged more exploration because they would like to see if there is more worlds like their own. One reason was because of God, After the Reformation; people had a new found faith and respects for the church. Europeans wanted to spread Christianity to other parts of the world, including the teachings of the Gospel. ( 3) Gold- In general, wealth was a driving motivation of European exploration. The Ottoman Turks had taken control of the eastern Mediterranean and Europeans wanted to find a new route to Asia for trading. ( 1 ) Glory, individuals and countries wanted recognition to their name. Prestige was a driving force for exploration. The more land and money a country owned, the better their chance of domination in Europe. Curiosity, renaissance was a time of curiosity and when people constantly questioned or became curios about their surroundings. Another reason was because of spices Europeans started to value spices to preserve food , add flavor to meet and make medicines. The last reason is trade routes, Europeans wanted to get goods to the European market. Important European Explorers

He established a Christian empire in western Africa to aid Portuguese wars against northern Africa. He found new sources for gold and he created new maps for Africa. The trips funded by Prince Henry led more exploration of western Africa. He helped discover these islands: the Madrid islands , cape badjor , cape Blanco , the Gambia river , cape Palmas. Christopher Columbus born between October 31, 1450 and October 30, 1451 – 20 May 1506) was an Italian explorer, navigator, and colonizer, born in the Republic of Genoa, in what is today northwestern Italy. he completed four voyages across the Atlantic Ocean that led to general European awareness of the American continents. Those voyages, and his efforts to establish permanent settlements on the island of Hispaniola, initiated the Spanish colonization of the New World. Ambitious, Columbus eventually learned Latin, Portuguese, and Castilian, and read widely about astronomy, geography, and history. Vasco da Gama was a Portuguese explorer, one of the most successful in the Age of Discovery and the commander of the first ships to sail directly from Europe to India He is one of the most famous and celebrated explorers from
