Conscription: All unmarried men aged 21 were called up for three month’s military training. This man could only serve only in Australia or its territories. Conscription was effectively introduced in mid-1942, when all men 18–35, and single men aged 35–45, were required to join the Citizens Military Forces (CMF).
Rationing: Resources were controlled by government.
Censorship: all the articles, news on the radio and in the press were censored. Telegraph, telephone and post were also censored

Why did Kristallnacht take place? The start of the Kristallnacht was the turning point of Jewish suffering. Three days before, a Jewish teenager, Herschel Grynszpan, shot a German diplomat, Von Roth, in Paris. The Germans saw this as the perfect time to terrorize the Jews. The real cause of Kristallnacht was because the Germans were upset that they lost World War I, and were looking for a scapegoat. So within three days, anti-Jew violence erupted though out Germany, which resulted in the Kristallnacht.
