Crisis on Ebola:
Every now and again, the world experiences a life changing occurrence that effects the way people view their environment and what it stands for. From east to west, outbreaks affect millions of people and make them question the security of their environment. A recent outbreak in west and central Africa leaves scientist and doctors puzzled due to its aggressive and non-curable nature. The outbreak is a virus called Ebola, a rare and deadly infection that causes bleeding inside and outside an organism's body, is killing many central and West Africans rapidly. It is a virus that spreads through the body and damages the immune system and organs, as said on ‘WHO’. To keep people informed about the virus, there is a list of symptoms, ways to treat it, and how you can prevent one from obtaining this deadly virus.
To be aware of Ebola symptoms, you must first know what they are; For example, symptoms such as high fever, weakness, and aching muscles are typical signs that a person may be experiencing Ebola, as said on WebMD. "As the disease gets worse, it causes bleeding inside the body, as well as from the eyes, ears, and nose. Some people may vomit or cough up blood as well." Also said on WebMD. It’s clear that the crisis with Ebola is one in where the symptoms are written on a victim's sleeve. The symptoms related to Ebola usually show up 2 to 21 days after a person has been infected, which also includes sore throat, headaches, and lack of appetite.
Usually every problem should have a solution, but the solution to Ebola is still one doctors and scientist are trying to figure out. As of now no treatment against Ebola has proven to be effective. Tested on animals, as said in a 'Centers for Disease and Prevention' article, some tests have proven to be effective against Ebola. "Timely treatment of Ebola is important but challenging because the disease is difficult to diagnose clinically in the early stages of infection." Even though Ebola may be hard to treat in the early stages, as sad on 'CDC', if treated early the chance of survival increases.
