|COURSE CATALOG DESCRIPTION: |
|Students will study the vocabulary, concepts, and theories of psychology as it applies to human development and human interaction. Psychological issues|
|will be discussed and researched by students in order to cultivate an informed opinion of the topic. |

|COURSE OUTCOMES: Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: |
|1. Utilize the basic principles of the science of psychology, including research methodology, to apply to work situations. |
|2. Understanding the developmental stages of the human life cycle, students will apply this data to workplace interactions. |
|3. Discuss the hereditary, cultural, and environmental influences on behavior. |
|4. Apply principles of psychology to understand the behaviors of people who are mentally ill. |
|5. Promote mental wellness. |
|6. Think critically, and scientifically, about psychological issues. |
|7. Evaluate the significance of psychological issues in the workplace. |
|8. Communicate awareness and basic understanding of psychological issues. |
|9. Respond knowledgeably to comments concerning psychological issues.
