CANCER CAN BE AVOIDED. (COMMENT ON THIS VIEW.)
Cancer is the unregulated multiplication of cells in the body. This definition applies to every different form of cancer of which there are more than 100. For each person, the development of cancer probably derives from many cellular events accumulated over time, which culminate in one or a few cells becoming transformed so that they commence to grow and multiply in an unregulated, abnormal way. Although cancer might be the world’s second dreadful disease, but there are many different ways or different things people can do to avoid getting cancer.
First, decrease the amount of fat in diet. People should be aware and consider the amount of fat intake. Many studies have shown that high-fat diets (especially saturated fats) are associated with higher rates of prostate cancers. Limit the intake of butter, margarine, fried foods, cakes, potato chips, etc., to a bare minimum. However, some fats are good, such as extra virgin olive oil (not fried) and grape seed oil. So, to be free from cancer, I suggest that everyone should be careful with foods which contain fat.

Second, avoid smoking and exposure to smoke. Smoking is the most significant cancer risk factor we can reduce. It is responsible for not only lung cancer, but many other types of cancer. One of the best ways to prevent cancer is to quit smoking or never start. As soon as you quit, and it’s never too late, your body reaps the benefits of being tobacco- free. Avoiding secondhand smoke is also a way to prevent cancer. Secondhand smoke is the smoke exhaled from a smoker or a lit cigarette, pipe or cigar. This smoke contains more than 60 known carcinogens. These carcinogens interrupt normal cell development. This interference is what ignites cancer development. Therefore, smokers should stop or quit smoking. It is never too late to stop smoking.
Third, practice sun safety and recognize when skin changes occur. Skin cancer is the most common type of cancer among men and women, and it accounts for about half of all cancer diagnoses. The good news is that skin cancer is one of the most preventable types of cancer. So therefore, I recommend that people should put on sunscreen, avoiding mid-day sun, wearing protective clothing when outdoors, and by staying away from tanning beds. Fourth, eating fruits and veggies. A well balanced diet is advantageous for many reasons. A diet rich in fruits and vegetables greatly reduces our risk of developing cancer. Fruits and vegetables contain antioxidants, which help repair our damaged cells. Green orange and yellow fruits and vegetables are our best bet to help prevent cancer. Cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli and cauliflower appear to pack a powerful punch at preventing cancer, according to numerous studies. In order for one to avoid cancer, I suggest that we should eat lots of fruits and vegetables.
Fifth, limit red meat and animal fat. Studies show that a diet high in animal fat increases the risk for several types of cancer, particularly colon cancer. Red meat contains much more fat than poultry and fish, so the reducing amount of red meat in diet may help to prevent cancer.

Sixth, limit alcohol intake. Drinking excessive amounts of alcohol regularly increases the risk factor for many types of cancer. Studies suggest that men who consume 2 alcoholic drinks per day and women who have 1 alcoholic drink per day significantly increase their risk factors for certain types of cancer. So, I also suggest that people should stop drinking alcohol.
