Part 1:
Inverse: If students are not able to use technology such as computers, tablets, and calculators, then they will not be able to develop a deeper understanding of the math concepts presented within their course.
Converse: If the students develop a deeper understanding of the math concepts presented within their course, then the students are allowed to use technology such as computers, tablets, and calculators.
Contrapositive: If the students do not develop a deeper understanding of the math concepts presented within their course then they will not be allowed to use technology such as computers, tablets, and calculators.
Part 2:
Should students be allowed to use technology such as computers, tablets, and calculators to deepen the understanding of their math course? That answer could be brought up in two ways, in my beliefs we should be able to use those tools in our classrooms; although, some children use these devices for fun, should the rest of the children in the room be declined this learning tool? If you were to be doing college algebra or any algebra for that matter it would take several hours to finish you’re assignment without a calculator, and another example if you were to be doing geometry it would be more precise to be measuring angles and creating straightedges if you were to do it online. It would be a loss in learning time, if my peers and I were to be doing it out all by hand when they could do it on their calculators and computers in conclusion we could go on to the next lesson at a faster pace. On the other hand technology could be a distraction to you and others. When you’re on your computer then all of a sudden you get a message on Facebook it’s too tempting. The correct way to set boundaries is to have all the devices monitored at all times. There are some bad habits coming from technology students start to not know how to do simple math so they start to rely on their calculator to be there. We should encourage students to first do the problem out by hand then check their answer with the calculator so we don’t
