By-Law Amendments:

Allowing Presidents and Treasures to Share Responsibility
Article III – 5. The president and or treasurer of any Student Organization planning to submit a Fall or Spring Budget Request shall attend the mandatory general information meeting described under Article VI.3.B or VII.6 of these Bylaws, respectively.

Article VI – 2. The treasurer or president of each requesting Student Organization shall be the only individuals authorized to execute and submit any documents in connection with a request submitted under this Article.

Article VI – 3. D. iii. The treasurer or president of each requesting Student Organization shall attend a previously scheduled portion of this meeting to answer any questions the Committee may have. The SBA Vice-President shall schedule no less than ten (10) minutes per Student Organization.

Creating an Election Deadline:
Article III. Section 4. Each Student Organization shall hold Officer Elections at least three weeks prior the last day of classes.

Allowing Summer Requests
Article VII. Section 1. The Spring Budget Process shall be the initial and primary process through which all Student Organizations described in the following Section request SBA Funds for the remainder of the School Year and Summer.

Decreasing Reserve Amount
Article V. Section 3.
A. The SBA General Account shall at all times have a minimum balance of at least five three thousand dollars ($3,000).
B. Under no circumstance shall an appropriation of SBA Funds, Operational or
Restricted, be made if after its and all other previous appropriations’ disbursement the
SBA General Account would equal less than five three-thousand dollars ($3,000).

Removing Restricted Funds
Article III. Section 2
B. Under no circumstance shall the SBA Council appropriate Restricted Funds for any of the following purposes:

i. Direct monetary contributions to charitable organizations or student scholarships of any kind, or for the purchase of goods or services donated directly to the same;

ii. Purchase of goods or supplies to be used in a fundraising event for any student scholarship awarded to a member(s) of the SBA, but that is not open to all members of the SBA;

iii. Purchase of goods to be sold, in original or altered form, to members of the SBA;

iv. Compensation to members of the SBA for mileage put on automobiles, including, but not limited to, gas and depreciation, used to travel to any event;

v. Purchase of food or drinks at, or during travel to and from, events involving
