ANALYSIS FOR SAM’S RESTAURANTS
Introduction:
The main aim of this report is to provide Joshua an analysis regarding the physical strength and weakness of the company. Further, this analysis will help the management to determine the future plans for the company in different strategic decision-making. As the vice president of operations for Sam’s Restaurants I investigate the data and convert in to meaningful information that will help to understand management of the company, that in which any particular region is performing well and which region need more attention to get better sales result. The data I have received for the analysis; I came up with the final outcomes that I will explain in my report as explain below

VLOOPUP
Question 2
The data was analyzed by using VLOOUP formula to figure out which restaurants are falling in to small, medium, large and really big categories in regards to annual sales.
By using (Data collection date’ – store opening date’)/365 formulas I calculate the store age (years).
Lastly by using Mean, Median, Maximum, Minimum, Range and standard Derivation formulas I am able to calculate Annual sales of each store and store aged (years) etc.

SUMMARY REPORT FOR EACH REGION
Question 3
By using formulas such as SUMIF, AVERAGEIF & COUNTIF i am able to find out the total and average annual sales etc.
1. By using the SUMIF formula I calculate the total annual sales for each region and sort the regions in descending order by total annual sale.
2. By using the SUMIF formula I calculate the total number of seats for each region. 3. By using the AVERAGEIF formula I calculate the average annual sales for each region. 4. By using the AVERAGEIF formula I calculate the average store age for each region Page | 1

5. By using the COUNTIF formula I calculate the total numbers of restaurant in each region.
6. By using SUMIF formula I calculate each region that has advertising.

Task C: In this part I analyzed the total number of seats for medium size restaurants in the highest annual store sales region. So I have created a pivot table and chart which shows the below results
Texas has got the highest annual store sales for medium size restaurant with a total number of 5247 seats.
