I am the second youngest of 7 children. I have always enjoyed growing up around each and every one of my siblings considering a few of us are close in age. My parents’ have always done so well with my siblings and I, and there is always plenty of love, comfort, and joy growing up with a big family.
My parents are both mentally fit, but physically declining. It is a natural instinct of mine to want to come to their rescue and provide them with satisfaction, love, and support. Attending school, working a full time job, and taking care of my parents can take a toll on me mentally and physically. Everything I do is simply comparable to two full time jobs and everything that I do for them is because I genuinely want to help them to the best of my ability. A typical day after school, I came home to find my dad sitting at the dinner table looking at what looks like a form that he had received in the mail that day. I have not had the chance to put down my things and I was already asked to see what the document contained. Being the good daughter that I am, I quickly set aside my things and looked at the forms which contained 6 pages of questions to be answered. I told my dad that I would complete the form for him after I have taken both of my exams which were due in the next couple of days. In the next two days, I already knew my time was limited to work, studying, and tending to my parents. My dad wanted the forms to be completed immediately to have it mailed the next day, but I had refused to have it finished within that short amount of time. So again time was crucial and he was pretty upset, viewing the situation as me being selfish with my time.
