4. Describe how representative bodies can support employees.
They have national and regional expertise so they can share them with employees
Employees can consult problems with them use their knowledge and their interests can be represented by their members.
5. Briefly describe employer and employee responsibilities for equality and diversity in a business environment. You should give at least two employer responsibilities and two employee responsibilities.
If possible, provide relevant equality and diversity procedures from your workplace (or place of study) to support your answer. These documents should be annotated to highlight the relevant sections.
Employer: treat all employees equal and fair, train staff on equality and diversity topics
Employee: treat all staff with respect, do not label people by how they look, belief, gender etc.
6. Briefly explain the benefits of making sure equality and diversity procedures are followed in a business environment. Your answer should include one benefit for the employer, one benefit for the employee and one benefit for the overall organisation.
Hiring all sorts of employees (young, old, different ethic groups) give the employers benefits like: fresh ideas (young, new employees), more different opinions, easier contact with customers (employees help employer to understand other customers), experience (older employees). Benefits for employees are: meeting interesting people, learn how to treat disabled, understand different point of view, learn how to cope with different people.
