Introduction
E-Commerce is taking a big part of business and economy in recent years.
Libraries such as Amazon.com, Barnes & Nobles and Borders compete in a day by day basis to become to best-selling book company worldwide. With many innovations, ideas and creative approaches we will discuss various aspects of why and how they compete against each other.

Amazon.com


Founded by Jeff Bezos in 1994.



It was launched in 1995 as an online bookstore.



Amazon diversified its product lines adding movies, music, computer software and more.

It’s an excellent example of e-commerce.



They started fully as an online bookstore.



Their vision is to create more satisfying lives.



Clients can buy many products online besides books.



Their mission is to be earth’s most customer centric company.

In March 1997 they opened a full-fledge book superstore through America Online.
