Bullying is silent
Mrs. Green has experienced some different types of bullying. She has learned there are many types of bullying. There is physical bullying includes any physical contact that would hurt or injure a person like hitting, kicking, punching, etc. Verbal bullying is name-calling, making offensive remarks, or joking about a person's religion, gender, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, or the way they look. Social alienation is when a bully excludes someone from a group on purpose. It also includes a bully spreading rumors, and also making fun of someone by pointing out their differences. Intimidation is when a bully threatens someone else and frightens that person enough to make him or her do what the bully wants. Cyber bullying is done by sending messages, pictures, or information using electronic media, computers (email & instant messages), or cell phones (text messaging & voicemail). (Oracle Think Quest) But the fact is that it does not matter what type it is, it’s still considered wrong and deadly Mrs. Green was doing her homework one cold morning when her daughter had come to her and showed her some very disturbing text messages and voice messages on her phone. They were from her supposed to be best friends. Mrs. Green had learned very quickly that her twelve year old daughter has been verbally and cyber bullied. Her daughter began to cry and feel very sad because she did not know what she had done so wrong for those girl’s to treat her so badly. So, Her mom decides to call the other 6th graders up on the phone they had done the bullying from. She soon learned that the girl would not answer the phone to talk to her
Now, that the girl will not answer the phone. Mrs. Green got very angry and began to cry. For, she did not want to see her daughter so hurt. Mrs. Green starts calling some parents. The mother of the child that started the text was at work .She did not want to get the mother fired, so she told her to call her when she got off work. But, letting her know those girls at her home were bullying. Mrs. Green hangs up the phone and her daughter hand her phone to her and one of the girls that was bullying was on the phone. Mrs. Green takes the phone and said “let me talk to Andrea” . The girl talking said,” that she could not talk to either of us anymore”. So, Mrs. Green asked to speak to the father that was there with those girls. He refused to talk to her. Now, Mrs. Green is even madder because the parent will not step up and take responsibility for his home and what was taking place. Then Mrs. Green blows a fuse and yells at the little girl on the phone telling her that if they call or text her daughters phone ever again that she would have the police standing on
